I received text then a follow up call. It was from Waikato Hospital reviewing wait-list for Echocardiogram as they are getting the public sector to do tests to get the waiting lists down. Other DHBs are doing the same. So number is legit.

I got a call from that number too and the same text plus 3 more calls the next morning. I didn't pick up the phone when I saw that number. I phoned the local hospital who confirmed that they do not have an 0800 number and never contact people on the phone. Only seldom and then they identify themselves.In the first call my wife picked it up and they wouldn't tell me the "waiting list" that I'm apparently on before I give them my personal details which I didn't. I just ended the call with some bad words...

I did get a text in the morning
"Kia ora, you will soon receive a call from Planned Care Waitlist Support. The call will show as 0800 923 366. Unmonitored - Please do not reply."Horsee replied 7/10/25, 3:55 PMI got that same text this morning to, and then this phone number rang me. I deleted the text and didn't bother answering the phone. I don't answer numbers I don't know. -
