Claims to be an authorised partner of Accor. They'll offer you a limited-time promotion, being shortlisted among 100 other people. They'll try their best to make you trust them and believe they are accredited. The caller was trying to be honest about them gaining an incentive from you signing up, and that they are calling from India as well.
The most suspicious part was when they asked me for my 16-digit credit card information to sign up for Accor's $399/year plus membership. They'll say that it is secure and the phone recording will be paused when you state your credit card details.
They seemed to have information on you as well, previous hotel stays, and your home address.
Decline the offer and don't let them talk you out of it. They will try to pressure you.

Called trying to peddle some Accor membership, despite having my settings on my actual Accor account to not contact me via mobile for marketing.

He got quite rude and spoke over me. Even if I was amenable I wouldn't purchase from him.

They called at the end of December 2024 asking whether I'd like some form of membership for $399.00. I declined and am now receiving the same calls now, except I am no longer answering. Currently receiving daily calls with no voice messages left.
