This number is North Shore Hospital. I had 2 missed calls from this number and when I tried to call back I received the "this number does not accept call backs" message. I was expecting a call from the hospital. After stumbling across this page, I see that many others have identified the number as being North Shore Hospital. I contacted somebody at the hospital on a different number and they confirmed that they had called me twice from this number but had not left a message - this is what I don't understand, if they left a voicemail it would take away all the confusion!!

Doctor's are bound by doctor patient confidently so they won't leave a message in case they have the wrong number. Just to say that they have rung, and to ring them back. They also offer their hours of work to ensure you ring between those times. My husband just received a call. But when he called back the telemessage said ' I'm sorry the calling ID is not supported by this phone system. Something not right here -

Of course it's NorthShoreHospital, can people or robots fake a display number, sure, but the odds of you getting a call from a fake NSH number are tiny unless your a spy or a major crime figure or something. It's way more likely the call is legit & if not for you they either called the wrong number or you have misread or typed & searched here for a number that didn't actually call you.

I had a call from this number while on the phone to someone else. No message left, number did not acept callbacks. This search said North Shore Hospital so I rang their no. they confirmed it was their outgoing call line. This system is messed up, causes unnecessary stress.

Not entirely sure about it being the north shore hospital, can't call it back and Im in christchurch, don't even know anyone on the shore and if someone i know had been admitted or something Im sure i would have found out via friends or family, Im going to go with ignore

Sarah replied 1/14/14, 11:42 AMI have 2 missed calls already from this number and thought it was possibly from North Shore Hospital but i am not convinced its a legitimate call because they usually call from a number i can call them back on and they leave me a message not the case this time, maybe it is a scam from somebody who has access to and outside line at the hospital, i have also tried to call the number back from 2 different lines and listen to a funny message. ???? i missed the first couple of calls from this number. when i called back the number was not supported. the next day an indian guy called on behalf of the North Shore Hospital. he claimed I've left a message which I did NOT!!! well, so far it's everything but trustworthy... hands off!

When you call back on that number it is logged as call received and he was probably calling you back to enquire why you had called. Have had 6 calls from this number this afternoon. Clearly prank calls with giggling people in the background. Based on similar posts I am guessing some staff at the North Shore Hospital are using hospital phones for a bit of afternoon entertainment. Grow up people.
